Special parts often require special tools. Jesel's pushrod length checking tools are one of those "getting it right" tools for pushrod length checking. The basic body of the tool consists of three pieces of aluminum tubing. The tubing pieces measure 5 in., 3 in. and 1.5 inches in length. On two pieces of the tubing, one end is male and the other is female and each end is threaded. Outer ends accept a screw-in pushrod ball end. In total, the pushrod length checking tools are adjustable from 6 in. to 12 inches. Important note: Before you order new pushrods, first check the pushrod length on several different cylinders, as well as on both engine's cylinder heads to determine sizes. Never rotate valvetrain using the pushrod checker tool.
