The affordable LSX crate engine has arrived: the GM Performance Parts LSX 376-B8 476 hp crate engine! CPP takes the economical LSX Bowtie block and combines it with the LS3's high-flow L92 style heads to create the affordable, high-revving LSX 376 crate engine. It represents the essence of LS performance: exceptional airflow capability in straightforward packaging that delivers huge performance without the power adder. The engine is delivered without an intake or oil pan and without any front accessories. So whether you top the engine with a carburetor or production-style fuel injection system, it's suitable for your street rod, '57 Chevy or '71 Camaroabe it on the street or on the strip. (CPP horsepower and torque ratings are based on using the production style fuel injection system.)
NOTE: Due to the number of application variations, the LSX 376 crate engine is supplied with a dust shield instead of an oil pan; any LS-style oil pan and pickup that will fit your chassis can be used. Also, the LSX 376 valve covers do not include mounting provisions for mounting the ignition coil brackets. Aftermarket or custom relocation brackets must be used.
