When using Sonnax weld-in front cover pilot GM-PI-16 with other components available from Sonnax and a GM 245mm core, a builder can assemble a low-cost performance converter with relative ease. The GM 245mm core has many different stator and impeller combinations that allow the builder to tailor the stall speed and torque multiplication rate to the specific vehicle that the converter is being installed in.
