Proflow Pushrod - 6.250" Length - 5/16" Diameter (PART #PR5625-110-16)

Proflow Pushrods are essential components in an engine’s valvetrain system. They serve as a means of transferring the reciprocating motion of the camshaft lobes to the rocker arms, which ultimately actuate the valves. As the lobes of the rotating camshaft lift the pushrods, they push against the rocker arms, causing them to pivot and open the valves. The length of a pushrod is critical to ensure proper valvetrain geometry. It should be carefully selected to maintain the correct relationship between the camshaft, pushrod, rocker arms, and valves. Incorrect pushrod length can result in valve train noise, poor valve timing, and reduced engine performance. Cold formed seamless hardened 4130 Chromoly single piece pushrods with .110" wall thickness designed for racing and high performance applications. Able to withstand open spring pressures of 375 pounds. Standard 5/16" & 3/8" diameter pushrods are available in lengths from 6.200" - 10.500".
