Ideal for 4x4, heavy duty and commercial use in GM 4L60, 4L60-E, 4L65-E and 4L70-E units, Sonnax extra wide intermediate band 77700-01K is 15% wider (.34") than the OE band and provides 15% more holding capacity. The band also features a 60% thicker case anchor, reducing the chance of band failure under severe conditions. The Sonnax band is a drop-in replacement part, with no modifications to the drum required. Using a new drum when installing a wider band is highly recommended.

Kevlar lining material features the same benefits as later-model, high-energy materials. While the shifts may not be as firm as with the red lining, oftentimes overall durability is better, including in extreme applications.
