Ford 5R55W and 5R55S transmissions commonly exhibit TCC engagement issues, gear ratio codes and overheat problems due to excessive wear in the solenoid feed limit and/or converter feed limit valve bores. Front lube failure and reduced converter charge also may be seen when the converter feed limit valve is worn. Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized solenoid and converter feel limit valve kit 56947J-61K restores OE functionality.
