GM Performance Engine Assembly, Crate Engine, TBI EFI Truck Replacement, Chevy 350 Goodwrench, 2-Bolt Main, Each (PART #GMP-12681430)

Direct from GM Performance come the GM GoodWrench replacement long block crate engines! They're 5.7L 350 c.i.d. assemblies for 1987-95 Chevy/GMC trucks with 350 VIN code "K" engines up to 7,200 GVRW. These are 2-bolt mains with one-piece rear seal factory replacement crate engines.

Engine specs:

  • 1986 and up 2-bolt main one-piece crankshaft seal block (no mechanical fuel pump provision)
  • Horsepower: 200 hp at 4,000 rpm
  • Torque: 300 lbs.-ft. at 2,800 rpm
  • Nodular iron crankshaft
  • Powdered metal connection rods
  • Dished hypereutectic pistons
  • 9.25:1 compression ratio
  • High-volume oil pump
  • Morse link-type timing chain

Camshaft specs:

  • Flat tappet hydraulic camshaft
  • Intake lift .382 in.
  • Exhaust lift .402 in.
  • Intake duration at .050: 165.9
  • Exhaust duration at .050: 174.8
  • Lobe center separation: 111.9
  • Camshaft mechanical specs
  • Intake valve opens at -30.2 BTDC, closes at 16.1ATDC; intake lobe centerline: 111.8
  • Exhaust valve opens at 18.1BBDC, closes at -23.3 ATDC; exhaust lobe centerline: 111.8

Cylinder head specs:

  • Casting number 14102193
  • Swirl port intake port design
  • 64cc combustion chamber
  • 1.94 in. intake valve, 1.50 in. exhaust valve
  • Valve spring part number is 3911068 (same spring used with the old 300 hp 350 crate engine)
  • Installed height 1.70 in. pressure at installed height is 80 lbs.; pressure with valve open is 267 lbs.
  • These springs are good for .550 in. lift, but clearance between guide and retainer must be double-checked before attempting
  • 7-bolt exhaust flange
  • Centerbolt valve cover flange
  • 1987-95 intake manifold bolt pattern with center intake bolts canted at 72 angle
  • This is not a performance-oriented cylinder head. It is classified as a high swirl head intended for good bottom-end torque and fuel economy. The intake runner is restrictive because it has a ramp cast into the bottom of the bowl to promote high swirl.

Engine also includes:

  • 4 qt. oil pan (5w/filter)
  • Timing cover
  • 8 in. balancer
  • Valve covers
  • It is recommended that you do not attempt to run this engine in a carbureted application because of the lack of a fuel pump provision. Special intake manifold is required.
